In our daily lives, we are confronted with different situations/experiences that require us to be capable of emotional management. They can trigger more significant anxiety, stress, emotional tension, sadness, etc. There is no miracle formula for managing our emotions as there are several elements and variables to consider. Therefore, to improve our emotional management, although it is essential, it is necessary to keep in mind that it is a task that requires continuous effort and dedication since the management of emotions involves the regulation of your emotional experience and the regulation of the emotional expression. In this sense, one of the essential aspects of emotional management is self-knowledge, which will strongly influence the way you express and manage your emotions.

What is an emotion?

An emotion is a complex psychological state that involves three components:

1) A subjective experience: Although there are basic emotions that, according to researchers, are transversal to all people, regardless of their culture, ethnicity, education, etc. How we experience them is subjective; that is, the experience of anger or fear varies from person to person and may even have different degrees of intensity.
